Pottery can get messy! Wear something you don't mind getting dirty: some clays and glazes can stains. We recommend trimming your fingernails for wheel classes. For the winter months, please bring a pair indoor shoes.

More than 7 days notice: Refund issued, minus 10% administrative fee
Less than 7 days notice: 50% refund issued
Class start date: No refund

6-week, 4-week, or 3-week sessions: Makeup classes are not available. We ask students to only register in a session if they can commit to the entire course.
One-night workshops: We may be able to help you reschedule with at least 7 days notice, subject to availability.

Pottery involves equipment, materials, and processes that may present health and safety risks, including exposure to dusts and chemicals. Beechwood Pottery Studio is not liable for injury resulting from failure to follow safety guidelines.
Always follow all staff instructions and posted safety notices
Do not operate, load, or unload kilns at any time
Be aware that clay, glaze materials, and studio processes can create fine dust, including respirable crystalline silica, which may cause serious long-term lung damage (silicosis). Only wet cleaning methods are permitted to control dust in the studio
Inform staff of any relevant health conditions such as respiratory issues, skin sensitivities, or pregnancy before using the studio
Tie back long hair and secure loose clothing and jewellery
Closed-toe, closed-heel footwear must be worn at all times
Do not use equipment unless authorized and supervised by staff

Our entrance is at the back of the building.
We are not wheelchair accessible: there is one flight of stairs to enter the facility, and three doors. If you require assistance, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
